Asus Called... They want to look at it again... and then think about things.

So Aaron, the ASUS rep contacted me. Now here is the offer, I can send it to California and they will if they can reproduce the problem and replace it and for the time burned on my warranty 3 months. So after multiple times, sending it to California is suppose to be different considering the history the system has.

Now they are not giving me an upgrade, same system and they didn't say new either. When I asked if he was joking they burned 5 months of warranty time and give me 3, he bumped it to 6 months addtional.

My counter offer was simple replace the system, it has history it's defective and I'm not playing this game. He said that is the only way they will do it. My reply is then that is where we stand, you haven't done much of anything but have me jump through hoops and five months in your offer is insulting. Asus has cost me money as I had to buy an additional system.

I would like to say I bought it it because of the I7 core and I love intel chips, though my custom built AMD is nothing to sneeze at with it's multicore. However I usually buy HP products, my laptops and everything are HP, workstations at the office have their lovely Logo.

While HP use to be plentiful with their basic warranty and some of that has changed, they do fix it right on the first shot and never have they not solved a problem within 30 days. Never have they sent a computer back damaged or not working properly. Then again I have used their service twice, once on a desktop and once on a laptop in the decade I've used their products.  My old 32 Pentium III system still runs to this day. The laptops, due to airplane rides and just the discontinue of their batteries have all died natural technological age related deaths.

That said, you can see that Asus will not be getting repeat business and pretty much don't care.
